How To Make Perfect Homemade Burger Buns

My last post was about burgers and I said that I will have a one whole post just for burger buns, so here it is, recipe for homemade burger buns.

Here it is:

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of warm milk
1 cup of warm water
2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast
2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
2 eggs
3 1/3 cups of bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
3 tablespoons (1.5 ounces) unsalted butter

Preparation:

1. Put the milk and water in a large bowl and add the yeast. Stir it and add the sugar and just one egg. You'll need the other later. Now stir a bit more and add other ingredients but stop at salt. Stir it for a few minutes and then add the salt and butter which you'll need to leave on a room temperature so it softness .

2. At this point, take the dough out the bowl and put it on a table and knead it for 5 minutes. Put a bit of flour in a bowl or olive oil and put the dough in. Cover the bowl with a see-through foil and leave it on a warm place for a few hours.

3. After two hours take the dough out and knead it for a minute or so and then divide into eight pieces. Make a form of a bun, put them on a pan and cover them with a cloth and leave them for 15 minutes. Then crack an egg in a small bowl, stir it and spread it on the bun and sprinkle it with sesame.

4. Put the buns in a preheated oven at 200C or 390F and bake them until get a brown colour.
