Zucchini Vegetable or Meat Boats – Pretty Delicious To Me

Zucchini Vegetable or Meat Boats – Pretty Delicious To Me

There was a time when I did not like zucchini, but somehow they've started to creep up on me, and now I have a pretty good relationship with them. Yesterday I've made something that I've called “zucchini boats” with vegetables, but there's a meat one […]

These Baked Garlic Chicken Nuggets Are Delicious and Gluten Free

These Baked Garlic Chicken Nuggets Are Delicious and Gluten Free

There is a special part of my stomach for chicken nuggets. No, seriously, I really love chicken nuggets but homemade. I don't like those fast food nuggets, they are very suspicious to me.

So from time to time, I like to make myself baked nuggets. Today on the menu I've got garlic nuggets and they are gluten free.

Ingredients:

– chicken breasts
– Gluten free corn flakes
– an egg
– gluten free flour
– spices: Garlic powder, salt

The recipe is pretty simple but a little bit dirty, nevertheless it's delicious. Wash the chicken breasts and cut them in pieces. Put a little bit of flour in a small bowl, crack an egg in another and mix it. In the third one, just crumble a fist full of corn flakes (add more if needed). Salt the corn flakes and add garlic powder. If you are a garlic fan, go ahead and put a lot of garlic.

Before you start making the nuggets, preheat the oven, the highest temperature possible. Take one piece of chicken, put it in the flour, then in the egg and then in the corn flakes. Put it on a pan with parchment paper. Do the same with the rest of the chicken and put it in the oven. Chicken is done when the corn flakes becomes brown-ish.

Take the nuggets out of the oven and serve it with a sauce of you choosing.

Enjoy!

Sastojci za pileće nuggetse s bijelim lukom:

– pileća prsa
– Gluten free corn flakes
– 1 jaje
– gluten free brašno
– začini: bijeli luk u prahu, sol

Prije nego pripremite sve, zagrijte rernu na najjačoj temperaturi. Dok se rerna grije pripremit ćete nuggetse. Piletinu operite i isjeckajte na komadiće. Zatim u tri manje zdjele naspite brašno, ubijte jaje i promješajte i izdrobite corn flakes u treću. Corn flakes posolite i stavite bijeli luk u prahu, onoliko koliko volite.

The “I Did It My Way” Grilled Cheese

The “I Did It My Way” Grilled Cheese

As you can see, today, I'm presenting the “I Did It My Way” grilled cheese.

You've probably seen a lot of grilled cheeses, but this one is going to melt you away.

Grilled cheese with curry spices is so good, like really really good, you will want to make it right away.

To be honest, last year was the first time that I've tried grilled cheese and since then, I've been the biggest fan of this sandwich. There's not lot to it, very simple to make and you don't need a lot of ingredients.

Ingredients:

– Gouda cheese
– smoked cheese
– butter
– bread
– spices: curry, salt

Grate the cheese and cut the bread in slices. Heat a pan and spread the butter on bread (each side of the slice). Put the grated cheeses on the bread, then salt it and put some curry spice on it. If you like a lot of curry, go ahead and put a lot of it. Top it with the other slice and put it on the pan. Grill it until the cheese is melted or when the slice gets a nice brown colour.

Take it out of the pan, put some ketchup on it or as a dip and enjoy!

I'm switching to English…

I'm switching to English…

Yes, that's true, the first Bosnian food blog is switching from Bosnian to English.

The reason I'm switching languages is very simple: I want the world to read about the stuff I cook. After almost a year of blogging in Bosnian, and after perfecting my food photography I've decided it's time to change.

So this is my first post in English and it will be one of those short “get to know me” posts. So here we go.

My name is Haris, I live in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo is a very small town, but a very productive one. This city is so amazing and so inspirational. We live in the part of Europe where we can still get a lot of fresh ingredients, fruits, vegetables and meat, and those are the kind of things that keep me going.

I've been cooking for 15 years and this blog was something that was bound to happen. I'm not a professional cook, but one day I hope to open up my own restaurant.

For the past 11 months I've been cooking, mostly quick and delicious meals, healthy and fast food-y, and sweets. That's what I'll keep on doing. I will do a lot of recommendations for places to eat here in Sarajevo for anyone who comes to visit out city.

If you want to ask me anything, you can contact me at takemetofood@gmail.com.

P.S. New design of blog is coming tomorrow.

P.S.S. Ne brinite, svaki recept će imati i bosansku verziju.

Vjerujte mi, dijete su glupost!

Obzirom da u današnjem brzom svijetu niko ne čita duge tekstove ili gleda duge klipove, kratko ću vam napisati kako sam izgubio nekih 20-ak kg, prije četiri godine… Ko me zna, dobro je upoznat s mojom težinom, čitaj velikim stomakom. Nema puno sala, ali nije […]
