These Are Not Mom's Spaghetti, They Are Mine

So it was Thursday, we had a lot of spinach in the fridge and we wanted to eat healthy-ish. I've already made a similar meal, but I wanted to update it and I did.

Spaghetti with spinach and zucchini with turkey meat and heavy cream is pretty simple to make and it's delicious. If you want a light meal this weekend, just make this. You can make it gluten free or regular.

Ingredients:

– Spaghetti (gluten free or regular)
– half of zucchini
– 300g/10,5oz of spinach
– heavy cream
– turkey white meat
– olive oil
– spices: salt, pepper
– Parmesan cheese

First step for this recipe is to cook the spaghetti. Fill a half of a pot with water, salt it and put two table spoons of olive oil in it. Put the water on the stove and bring it up to a boil. Add the spaghetti (gluten free or regular) and stir them for two or three minutes so it doesn't stick to the pot. Cook the pasta for 8 to 15 minutes, depending if it's regular or gluten free. Pasta is done when you bite a strand and feel no resistance between the teeth – al dente.

So while the pasta is cooking, chop the meat into pieces and fry them on olive oil. Just as the meat starts to get that nice brown colour, add the zucchini (which you slice in small pieces) and stir for a few minutes. Then add the heavy cream and spice it with salt and pepper. Now add spinach and  stir for a couple of minutes. Then add the spaghetti and stir some more and it's done.

Serve it on a plate and sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese.

Sastojci za špagete sa špinatom i tikvicama:

– špagete (gluten free ili obične)
– pola tikvice
– 300g špinata
– vrhnje za kuhanje
– pureći medaljoni
– maslinovo ulje
– začini: sol, biber
– permezan

Prvo ćete skuhati špagete. U šerpu naspite vode, do pola, posolite i naspite dvije supene kašike maslinovog ulja. Stavite na vruće kolo i čekajte dok voda ne proključa, a zatim ubacite špagete u vodu. Mješajte pastu nekoliko minuta kako se ne bi zalijepila za šerpu. Kuhajte nekih 8 ili 15 minuta, zavisi od toga da li obične ili gluten free. Špagete su gotovo kada pregrizete jednu i ako je mekana, pasta je gotova.

Dok se pasta kuha, isjeckajte puretinu na komadiće i prepržite na maslinovom ulju. Kada meso dobije smeđkastu boju, dodajte komadiće tikvice i promješajte. Zatim dodajte špinat i vrhnje za kuhanje i začine. Mješajte još koji minut i dodajte špagete. To je to.

Špagete servirajte na tanjir i pospite malo permezanom.
